. BATMAN . AKA: Bruce Wayne. dark, cold, calculating man that trusts very few people.
His only powers are whit, ingenuity, and ju-jistu. Millionaire philanthropist & playboy. Total hottie.
. THE JOKER . Arrogant, manipulative, psychotic, murdering prankster who commits the most heinous crimes if he thinks he ca get a good laugh out of it and some say for the sexual thrill.
Batman and the Joker have a long, peculiar tumultuous relationship laced with numerous homoerotic undertones.
In the comics the Joker's not at all latent homosexual fixation on Batman is rather obvious. However in the
Batman animated series and the Justice League Unlimited series his romantic leanings towards Batman were
purposefully toned down since of course children would be watching. They even went so far as to create the
character Harley Quinn to make the Joker implicitly heterosexual seeming. But even with their tampering they
couldn't hide everything. Furthermore, while everyone talks about the Joker's Batman fetish, it might not be
quite as one sided as you'd believe.
NEW POINT!
In Batman Cacophony NO. 1, the Joker laughs at the typical ideas of conquest ad success and says all he really wants out of life
is to annoy batman, murder him and then do things to his dead body. O.o I don't even think words like yaoi or
shonen ai even cut it in this case. Joker's "relationship" with batman is one of sexually deviant psychosis.

NEW POINT!
Granted this is a page about batman and joker as a semi mutual pair, but as yaoi fans I though you'd get a kick out of Joker's general leanings toward
bromance. Again in Batman Cacophony NO. 1, the Joker escapes Arkham Asylum with the aid of a strange new character. After a while
the new guy offers Joker a case of money. Thinking this person must have a clown fetish, Joker immediately assumes this man wants
sexual favors and drops his pants offering himself, then actually feels bummed when he finds out he's wrong.

POINT 1
They are both in one way or another, completely obsessed with one another. Of all other Gotham City villains,
even though he considers Raz Al Ghul to be his most powerful enemy, Batman fixates on the Joker and his
antics. The same can be said of the Joker. At least half of his capers are designed specifically to
get Batman's attention. He swears Batman's his biggest fan. Harley, knowing how much her puddin' hates
Batman, even asks him once why he won't just shoot Batman like a normal person would. But the Joker
insists on making Batman's demise his magnum opus. Like Batman only deserved his absolute best.
He sure admires the hell out of a man he always claims he wants dead.
POINT 2
When comparing Batman to other super heroes, Batman is the only one Joker has any respect and admiration for.
Even when checking out their general outfits and costumes, Joker thinks Batman is chic. He says so in the JLU episode Wild Cards.
POINT 3
The Joker's obsession with Batman is really obvious in Batman season four's episode "Mad Love" where Harley,
who after seeing Joker try to kill him so many times, tries and nearly suceeds in killing Batman herself just to
make him happy. But when the Joker finds out what she's done he not only tries to kill her for it, he actually
lets a completely tied up and subdued Batman go." Batman was so completely vulnerable in this scene and
the imagery the artists used really drives that point home when the Joker is puling him down from over the
piranha tank and drapes him ass up over a table. I took screen caps so you could really see how proper fucked
Batman could have been and how utterly wrong it looks either way.
POINT 4
In Batman NO. 625, or part 6 in the 100 bullets story "Broken City," Joker actually tells Batman he loves him,
that he knows everything about him, he's his biggest fan and that he believes the Batman greatly enjoys
chasing him and cleaning up his mess. Also that Batman's in denial about the whole thing. You always
hurt the ones you love I suppose. Comic excerpt below.

POINT 5
The Joker is the only person that actually makes Batman act out of character and nearly break his one iron
clad rule of not taking a life. While depending on the comic you're reading Batman plays pretty rough with
the villains of Gotham, but he only seems to want to kill the Joker. Some may say it's because he really hates
the Joker. While hat may be true, you cant hate anyone that much unless they're under your skin. And for a cold,
often emotionless man like Batman, any extreme emotion is pretty note-worthy.
POINT 6
As mentioned earlier, Joker's antics seem extraordinarily personal and often times for the sole purpose
of pissing Batman off or getting his attention. There are even times where his scheming gets Batman in
his clutches and then all the laughter, jokes. props and silliness go out the window. Joker gets what might
seem out of character and turns back to his roots of just being a sick, murdering asshole. To dispatch people,
Joker usually favors the Tommy Gun or laughing gas. But for Batman, he uses knives, razor blades or even
his bare hands. (This is also mentioned in the movie that knives are far more personal than guns and allow
you to see someone the way no one else can).
POINT 7
As mentioned earlier, the writers and creators of the Batman Animated Series added Harley to make the Joker
seem straight. Ironically, by adding her they make his sexuality seem questionable in new ways. If you've seen the
show at all Harley is hopelessly in love with her Puddin' and throws herself at him constantly. But 99% of her romantic
or blatantly sexual advances are completely ignored or violently brushes aside because he's too busy worrying over
new and exciting ways to ruin Batman's day. And again, in the Batman Animated Series episode Mad Love Joker actually
throws Harley out of a window when she tries to kill Batman herself.
POINT 8
In Outsiders #3 "Roll Call Part 3: Joke's on You" while being torturing by the Joker, Lex Luthor hits joker where it hurts
by pointing out the fact that Batman will never love him. Comic excerpt here.
POINT 9
In Batman #644 Joker calls Batman "Honeycakes." In other such instances through out comic history he's called him
sweets, cupcake, his dance partner, the only other person in the world that matters besides him and other lovey-dovey names.
POINT 10
In the Batman Beyond move "Return of the Joker" the joker enacts and insidious plot
to recreate himself in the future, and guess what? He's still stalking Batman 65 years later! ><
I'm SURE there's more on this you want to send me. So have at it!
